The ingredients needed to make Cabbage and beef soup:
  1. Make ready 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  2. Take 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  3. Get 1 medium onion (diced)
  4. Take 2 stalks celery (sliced)
  5. Take 1/2 medium bell pepper (diced)
  6. Make ready 1 small cabbage (shredded)
  7. Take 3 medium carrots
  8. Make ready 1 can diced tomato
  9. Make ready 1 can tomato sauce
  10. Make ready 4 cups chicken broth
  11. Get 2 cups pork broth
  12. Make ready 3 teaspoons salt
  13. Make ready 2 teaspoons pepper
  14. Prepare 1 teaspoon caraway seed

In large pot or dutch oven, brown beef and onion. Light, but filling, this Beef and Cabbage Soup will fill you up without weighing you down, and will keep you warm from the inside out. Give the soup a taste and add salt if needed. Squeeze about a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice into the soup and add a handful of chopped fresh parsley.

Steps to make Cabbage and beef soup:
  1. Brown ground beef with garlic, onion, bell pepper, salt and pepper. Drain.
  2. Add diced tomato, tomato sauce, chicken broth, pork broth and caraway seed to meat mixture. Bring to boil.
  3. Add cabbage, carrots, and celery to mixture. Simmer on low for 30 minutes.
