  2. Take 3 cloves Garlic (bawang putih)
  3. Take 3 chopped Lemongrass (serai)
  4. Make ready 2 inches Ginger (halia)
  5. Take 2 inches Galangal (lengkuas)
  6. Take 3 inches Turmeric (kunyit hidup)
  7. Take In the pan
  8. Prepare 3 tbsp Chilli Paste (cili giling)
  9. Get 1/2 tbsp Fennel Powder (jintan manis)
  10. Make ready 1/2 tbsp Coriander Powder (ketumbar)
  11. Get 1/2 tbsp Cumin Powder (jintan putih)
  12. Take 2 tbsp Kerisik
  13. Take 1 cup Coconut Milk (santan)
  14. Get 1 whole Chicken (ayam)
  15. Take 1/3 Palm Sugar or 2 tbsp Sugar
  16. Prepare 1 tbsp Salt
  17. Make ready 1 tsp Tamarind (asam jawa)
  18. Prepare Leaf Turmeric (daun kunyit)
  19. Prepare Leaf Kaffir Lime (daun limau purut)

Instructions to make Ayam Rendang / Chicken Rendang:
  1. Add some water to the blender. Blend the first section of ingredients.
  2. Add the blended ingredients, chilli paste, the powders, kerisik, palm sugar, & tamarind
  3. Cook for a bit, then add chicken
  4. Pour in the coconut milk, mix, & let cook for a while
  5. Add the leaves
