  4. Make ready 1 1/2 slices white bread (crusts removed)

  6. Make ready 1 tbsp olive oil
  7. Take 1 onion finely chopped
  8. Take 2 cloves minced garlic
  9. Make ready Good handful chopped parsley
  10. Get 1 tsp basil
  11. Make ready 1 tsp oregano
  12. Make ready 1 beef stock cube
  13. Get to taste Salt and pepper
  14. Get 1 egg
  15. Get 100 ml milk
  16. Take For the sauce
  17. Get 1 carton passata
  18. Get 2 tbsp tomato purée
  19. Make ready 1 large onion (finely chopped)
  20. Prepare 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  21. Make ready 1 tsp basil
  22. Get 1 tsp oregano
  23. Make ready Pinch chilli flakes (optional)
  24. Get 1 tsp sugar

  26. Take 100 g grated mozzarella

Combine all meatball ingredients except the mozzarella in a large bowl. Using your hands, mix until fully combined. Take a golf ball sized piece of the ground beef mixture and place a piece of mozzarella in the middle. Press meat around the piece of cheese, fully enclosing it.

Steps to make Mozzarella meatballs:

  4. Pour sauce over the meatballs and place lid on. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes until meatballs are cooked through. Remove lid and add mozzarella on top of meatballs. Place under grill until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with chopped parsley. Lovely served with spaghetti
